Hello,

We hope this finds you and your family healthy and optimistic as we come out of the global pandemic.

The disruption to life and business has been profound but I’d say we’re getting back to something that resembles normal more and more every day.  This new normal is presenting a whole new set of challenges.  I’m sure you’ve heard in the news or experienced yourself the increased costs of materials and the shortage of labor.  Here at Merrill Landscape Services we have seen a significant increase in our labor costs, but have been fortunate in that we have been able to retain and fill most of our positions this year. We know that many other companies are not in that position so we are grateful.  We have worked hard to absorb most of the significant financial hits of 2020 and hoped we would be okay going forward.  However, the difficulty we’ve had in hiring and retaining quality staff (as well as increased costs for almost everything else) has pushed us to do something we haven’t done in a few years.  Starting in June, you may see a slight increase in your mowing, fertilization, landscape maintenance, and other labor costs.

We’re really sorry to have to do this, but it is the only way we can continue to provide the level of service that you expect from Merrill Landscape Services and the level that we thrive to provide.

If you have any questions or need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out.  We’re always in the neighborhood, ready to help.

Sincerely,

Marcus Merrill
